Just Hanging Out...

Jett is now three weeks here, we are just hanging out and catching up on sleep when we can. I went back to coaching track after 2 weeks. Good thing Jett is a good baby and I had lots of help! Thank you Great Grandma, Grandma and even Aunt Beth! The track kids have been very cute they couldn't understand why I wouldn't bring him out to track yet! They were very anxious to see him!

Country Living = Fun with Dirt

The girls went with my mom up to ride Grey the horse...and came back looking like this! They managed to find the super soft powder-like dirt that my grandpa had stirred up by plowing the front field. Needless to say they had a blast! When we first moved down here Mel would cry when her hands got dirty...now look at my girl! Country Living Gotta Love It!

The COOLEST Dad EVER!

Pete came home from work with some dry ice...pretty random yet the girls had a blast and Pete was the Coolest Dad Ever! Way to go Pete ...you earned major cool dad points!

Two Weeks Old

Holding Jett just doesn't seem to get old...he is going to be one spoiled little brother!

Easter Sunday

So fun to dress up a little guy for a change! Here are the kiddos Easter Sunday all dressed up and ready to go to Church. The Easter Bunny did come leaving baskets full of candy and a kite. He even remembered to bring Jett a basket...Megan couldn't believe that Jett got more PEEPS than she did! I reassured her that Jett would share considering he doesn't even have teeth. What a fun morning! Happy Easter!

Jett One Week Old

We can't get enough of this little guy... he is precious and we are loving having him around! Pete was able to be home with us Jett's first week. He was such a sweet husband helping run the house. What I loved most about him being home was being able to share the excitement of having Jett finally here safely with us in our arms and in our home with my best friend...love you Pete!

McRae Easter BBQ

We had a fun quick throw together family get together with our McRae cousins the Saturday before Easter. I always remember having BBQ's with my McRae cousins at Easter in St. David. They are good memories, good food, good company and always an Easter EGG HUNT. After so many years it was fun to see all my cousins grown up with families of thier own, and catching up with my Aunts and Uncles. Even though it was a little chilly we still had fun, good BBQ, coloring eggs, Easter egg hunt, snow cones (yummy) and even a few competitive games of dodgeball?!?!

Easter Egg HUNT...

The older cousins hide the eggs and they did a really good job...as I am writing this past tense I can tell you that we are still finding candy eggs out in the yard!!! Everyone had a great time!

We LOVE baby Jett!

Jett is today 4 days old ...and we can't get enough of him and his cuteness. It is fun to watch him change... his hair has lightened up a bit and he is loosing his reddish-yellow NB tint. We have discovered that Jett has Pete's hair line and even some sideburns (FUNNY huh!) I love watching Pete walk around with him...father and son...I love it! Meg and Mel love tending to Jett's every need, and they are very loving sisters! Every day is like playing baby dolls to them...they love to pick out is clothes and jammies. We truly feel blessed and are enjoying our new little family.

First Bath

Here is Jett taking his first bath at home...he wasn't really a big fan of it! Isn't he cute even Mad!
We are getting use to having a baby boy to care for...I had heard about all the precuations that needed to be taken when changing his diapers ...yet he surprises us every time...we are amatures! Meg and Mel think it is HILARIOUS!

Peyton and Jett

Sunday was a fun day to be able to share Jett with some of the family. Brianna, Tyler, and Brooke jumped in the car because they couldn't wait to see Jett. We took some pictures of Peyton and Jett, Peyton is exactly four months older than Jett. Look how big Jett's feet are, if you can't tell his foot is the reddish one.

Jett's Room

We had fun getting ready for this baby boy. The best part about it is the baby in the crib!!!

Glow-worm

Here is Jett a few days old, wrapped up like a little Glow-worm. He is wearing the same sleeper that his sisters wore when they were newborns. I just love the Glow-worm look.

Introducing Jett Cole Merrill

We are so excited to announce that baby Jett is finally here!
Jett was born
Friday April 3rd
4:33pm
7lbs 10oz
20 inches long
I was induced earlier Friday morning and I had a great labor and delivery...the best by far out of the 3 kids! Pete was a loving and sympathetic husband...the kind you want by your side when in labor! When it came time to deliver Jett came with 3 easy sets of pushes! Not like Mel where I pushed for 3 hours! He came out wide eyed checking things out...when I first saw him I instantly fell in love. The doctor commented on his big hands and feet like a puppy that hasn't grown into his paws. He also has the cutest little dimple in his chin (we are still trying to fiqure out where that came from!) He is so beautiful and healthy what an amazing blessing from above!

Megan's Baptism

Megan was BAPTIZED!!! It was a wonderful day! She was baptized by her dad in a dress her Grandma Merrill had made. Megan told us the night before that she couldn't sleep because she was soooo excited!!! It was special to have all our family that could make it share her special day with her. After the baptism we had a picnic BBQ for all the family. It was a beautiful day and the cousins were able to play and enjoy the afternoon.
Sunday Megan was announced as one of the newest members of the ward and was invited to sit up with the Bishop. We had explained to Megan that now she was 8 she could share her testimony in church. So half way through the meeting she surprised us by bearing her little testimony in front of the congregation. I could tell she was nervous but she gave the sweetest testimony, testifying that the church is true, that she knows that Jesus lived on the earth, Pres. Monson is a true prophet and that she loves her family and knows that they can live together forever. Pete and I were truely touched by her sweet spirit and testimony. We can't believe that she is 8 and is growing up before our eyes. We hope and pray she will continiue to make good choices, CONGRATULATIONS MEGAN WE LOVE YOU!
